Les Résidences SARA aux Orres

The ski resort of Les Orres, perched above the town of Embrun and the Durance Valley, offers a magnificent view over the Lake of Serre-Ponçon, Europe’s largest man-made lake. It is situated 16 km from the railway station of Embrun, 62 km from Briançon, to the north and 50 km from Gap, to the south, in the county of the Hautes- Alpes and the Provence, Alps and Riviera region.
The new resort of Orres Bois Méan, at an altitude of 1800 metres in a carefully preserved mountain environment amidst a vast forest of larches, was created in 2008. This is where the 3 new Sara Residences are located: La Combe d’Or, Les Mélèzes d’Or and Les Monts du Bois d’Or.
In addition to skiing, the Orres resort has focused on the market for seminars and multi-media facilities and as such is fully equipped with all the latest necessary equipment, including:

a Conference Centre to be envied by many of France’s ski resorts. This magnificent facility, inaugurated in 2008, is designed to welcome shows, concerts, seminars, incentive trips and conferences. It offers seating for 500 people and thanks to movable partitions can be divided into 5 individual meeting rooms for 10 to 180 people.
a 1,000 m² Multi-Media Centre housing a cyber-café, an area for learning and training in new technologies and an area for networking games. Moreover, Les Orres is the only resort in France to offer a free WiFi facility with over 50 terminals providing the town with broadband connections, enabling people to surf on the Web when not skiing on the slopes.

Bois Méan is able to meet all the expectations of families on holiday with their children of all ages: a day-care centre for those aged from 6 months to 5 years equipped with an outdoor playground, a snow park for 3 to 6 yearolds and the Juni-Orres Club for the 6 to 12 year-olds.
