1. Rental
The hire of SARA accommodation only becomes effective once a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the booked holiday has been paid.
The tenant is also expected to send a signed copy of the hire agreement within eight days of having received it, and would otherwise see the booking cancelled.
The remaining payable amount is to be cleared 28 days before the start of the holiday, or whilst booking, if the booking is made less than 28 days prior to the start of the holiday.
In the event of payments not made within the agreed time span, SARA is entitled to exert its right to consider the booking invalid and therefore apply the conditions relative to cancellations as detailed below.
2. The price
The applicable price is stated within the hire agreement. It includes access to furnished accommodation with crockery, kitchen utensils and blankets. All charges (water, electricity and heating) also are included. The bedding is provided clean at the start of every holiday for Risoul 1850. For Termignon Vanoise: bed linen supplement (8 € kit and single bed / 12 € kit and double bed).
The price will, where applicable, also includes the associated services you might have booked through us.
Our prices do however not include extra facilities provided in some of our residences, such as TV rental, towels and tea towels hire…
Pets are welcome (except on 4* Les Balcons de Sirius) but a supplement of 38€ per week (or 6€ per night will be charged). We need to be informed at the time of your booking.
Local tax is to be paid on arrival, at a rate of 0,50€ per person per night.
3. Modification or cancellation a holiday by the customer :
All modifications made by our clients after the hire agreement had been signed are considered by us as a cancellation.
We need to be informed of a cancellation in writing, the date on the envelope being the reference date for the cancellation.
Cancellation fees will be calculated as follow:
More than 28 days before the start of the holiday: 25% of the hire cost only
From 21 to 28 days: 30% of the overall price (hire and associated services)
From 15 to 20 days: 60% of the overall price (hire and associated services)
From 8 to 14 days: 80% of the overall price (hire and associated services)
Less than eight days or no arrival: 100% of the overall price (hire and associated services)
NO partial refunds will be made in case of early departures.
In order to avoid such costs, SARA offers a specific insurance separate from your hire contract. (cf. point 9).
4. Arrivals and departures :
Keys are handed out between 5 p.m and 8 p.m on arrival day (usually a Saturday).
Keys are to be handed in between 8.15 a.m and 10a.m on departure day (usually a Saturday).
Delays will be charged at the rate of 15 euros per hour and every hour started is payable in full.
5. Deposit and access to accomodation :
The accommodations will only be made available once a deposit of 250€ per flat will have been received, payable by cheque or credit card. This deposit will not emulate any interests. The deposit is requested in order to cover for eventual degradations caused to the flat or communal areas of the residences, or to the furniture and appliances provided. It is also requested to provide for cleaning costs in the event of the accommodation not being left in a clean state upon departure. Tenants will be charged 77 € per lost key.
In the event of the deposit not being sufficient to cover the costs of damages incurred, tenants will be charged further.
Deposits will be sent back to our customers ten days after departure, with any deductions made.
It is strictly forbidden to rent all or part of the flat you are renting out from SARA.
Under no circumstances should the accommodations be occupied by a higher number of persons than stated in the agreement.
Access to the cardio and fitness rooms within the “balcons de Sirius residence” allowed for children only if accompanied by their parents.
6. Inventory and cheklist :
It is the tenants’ responsibility to check thoroughly the inventory handed out upon arrival, to sign it and hand it in within 24 hours at our reception desk, stating any discrepancies in writing so we can address them straight away.
Any problems or damages occurring to furniture or appliances during your stay should be reported same day to our representatives.
No compensations can be claimed in the event of specific and urgent repair works that was needed in the flat during your stay.
Our flats are systematically given in an impeccable state. It is the responsibility of the tenants to maintain the level of tidiness and cleanliness in order to leave the premises as they found them.
A full check of the accommodation will be carried out by SARA representatives prior to departure.
7. Responsability :
SARA takes no responsibility in the event of disappearance or theft of personal belongings during your stay, whether it be in the flats or communal areas such as ski racks
8. After sales :
If you wish to make a suggestion or a formal request/complaint following your holiday, please do so by writing and send to this address only : SARA – Résidence Cassiopée - 05600 RISOUL 1850.
Requests made more than a month after the end of your stay will not be taken into consideration.
When writing to us, please always state your holiday reference number, the residence you stayed in and the flat number, so that we can process your query in due course.
SARA takes no responsibility for forgotten items left in the rented accommodations.
9. Insurances :
It is the responsibility of the owner to check whether they are adequately insured for damages they may cause to properties or harm to members of the public, and be able to provide proof of insurance to SARA representative at any time during their holiday.
10. Competent Legal Authorities :
The Contracting party undertakes to observe the present General Rental Conditions.
For the performance hereof, the parties adopt address for service in the SARA' s Head Office and agree that, in case of claim, the Court with jurisdiction will be that within the constituency in which the Head Office is located.
